Manuel Louis Aberasturi
September 22nd, 1947 - July 11th, 2024
Manuel Louis Aberasturi was born on September 22, 1947 to Raymond and Ramona Aberasturi in Boise Idaho. Manuel was the third born, following older brother Dave and Jack before Rayme, their younger sister. They grew up in the red rock house west of Homedale where many memories were made. Manuel graduated from Homedale High School and soon after married Cindy Shenk. Manuel and Cindy had 2 boys, Raymond and Daniel. Cindy and Manuel separated and he moved to Nevada where he worked on a ranch for a few years. He later moved to New Mexico and loved living there. Manuel worked in the oil fields until he retired. In 2016 he married Sauni Easley where they lived for 6 years, during this time Manuel battled several types of cancer. In 2023 they to Vale Oregon. He was able to move back to the old rock house and spend his last weeks with his Son Dan and family. Manuel passed at the age of 76. He is survived by his sister Rayme Linder and brother in law Steve Linder, brother Jack, son Dan and daughter in law Wendy with their 4 daughters. Hailee, Makayla, Amaia, and Taytem. 3 great grand kids; Nayvie, Joaquin, and Rhutt, wife Sauni Aberasturi and numerous nieces and nephews. Manuel is joining his mother, father, brother, and son Ray. Celebration of Life for Manuel will be held at the Basque Center in Homedale Friday, July 26th at 1:00 pm.

Today, we continue their mission of providing the finest quality services to all families of the Treasure Valley. Many changes have taken place over the years, including the addition of the Homedale Chapel in 1964. In 1984, Flahiff Chapels expanded its facility with the addition of Canyon and Owyhee County’s first crematory....
