Mementos

Growing up in Chicago, Len met his wife Mary Laverne when they were in their early 20’s. They enjoyed 66 years of married life together, never passing-up a new adventure and introducing their three children to many parts of the world.

Len earned his Masters Degree in Engineering from Purdue University, where he also taught while his family grew-up on the West Lafayette campus in Indiana. After leaving Purdue, Len joined United Airlines where he helped lead United’s maintenance facility located at the San Francisco Airport.  After 30 years of working with United and making more friends than can be counted, Len retired to enjoy traveling across the United States in his RV, sailing his Hobie Cat and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Len will be remembered for his kind and adventurous spirit, and he leaves many friends who have wonderful memories of time spent with him.  Len was also active in his Catholic church – Church of the Ascension in Saratoga (CA) and St. Joseph Parish in Lincoln (CA).

He is survived by his wife Mary Laverne, children Louise (Mark), Eileen(Dan), Glen(Cindy) and grandchildren Stephen(Clare), Michael (Nicky), Kristine (Cody), Will and Mia.
