Frances Mary Bennett, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was 88 years old.
Born on April 15, 1936, Bronx, NY, Frances was the daughter of Thomas and Martha Moran. She grew up with a deep love for her family and her faith, which shaped her compassionate and nurturing nature. After graduating from Aquinas High School in 1954, Frances pursued a career with the burgeoning air travel industry with Capital Airlines (later United Airlines) in Washington, DC. Her career however was cut short when she met the love of her life, George (Jimmy), married, and went on to raise 6 children in West Babylon, NY. After her children were grown, she returned to work at Barbizon Modeling Agency inspiring young women with personal image development.
Frances’s deep love of family was enriched and blessed when on a small street in West Babylon, Long Island her brother, Thomas Moran and cousin, Elizabeth Seebeck located to raise their families, as well. There the Bennetts, Seebecks, and Morans raised 14 children (cousins).
In 1987, Frances and George relocated to Satellite Beach, FL where she dedicated her time to various charitable causes including Birth Rite, Eucharistic Minister to the sick, and Perpetual Adoration.
Frances found immense joy in her role as a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished spending time with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Her home was always open to family and friends where her laugh was infectious.
Frances is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, Michael Moran. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George, her 6 children: Mary (Lee) Sanford, Kathleen (David) Allison, James Bennett, Brian (Carol) Bennett, Eileen Bennett, Nancy (Jim) Dorsett, her brother, Thomas Moran (Peg), her cousin, Elizabeth Seebeck, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral Mass to celebrate Frances's life will be held on August 2, 2024, at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Indialantic. In lieu of flowers, the family requests prayers to be said in honor of Frances's lifelong commitment to her faith.
Frances's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to faith will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
