SMITH, Alan T.
age 82, of Kernersville, NC, passed away on April 25, 2022 at Wake Forest Hight Point Medical Center, High Point, North Carolina after a short illness. He was born on August 19, 1939 in Woodbridge, New Jersey to Loyd T. and Hazel M. (McCabe) Smith. Alan served in the United States Army from 1962 through 1965. He was a fashion designer who worked and owned numerous businesses in the fashion industry. Alan retired from Landau Uniforms in Olive Branch, Mississippi. He was an active choir member the local methodist churches where he lived during his life. Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Jerome and Donald and a sister, Susan Ann. Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Terri-Lyn (Pierce) Smith; sons, Travis (Brenda) Smith of Kernersville, NC and Todge (Emily) Smith of New Braunfels, TX; a grandson, Alan M. Smith; and granddaughters, Kylee Smith, Paige Smith, and Renee Smith. Also surviving is a sister, Jill Fanolio of Kansas City, MO and several nieces and nephews.
