David L. Wienhoff
April 25th, 1944 - July 23rd, 2024
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of David Lawrence Wienhoff on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 at the age of 80 at his home in Tucson, AZ.
David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. An amazing family member to so many and a great friend to so many more. Cherished by all who knew him.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Sharon Wienhoff; his son Dean Wienhoff and wife Wendy, his daughter Kelly Groves and husband Perry, and his son Chris Wienhoff; his granddaughter Ashley Aaslid and husband Alex, his grandson CJ Wienhoff and wife Mari, his grandson Cole Wienhoff, his grandson Michael Groves and granddaughter Jennifer Groves; and his 6 great-grandchildren Arabella, Atlas and Atticus, Gray and Hank, and Maya. His siblings Jo Ann Walster, Marcella Pour, Sharon Hesterberg and Ed Wienhoff and many nieces and nephews. Along with so many more loved family members and friends.
David had many careers during his life, including serving in the United States Airforce in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was also a manager at Sutherland Lumber Company for over 25 years and was transferred several times during his time with the company which landed him and his family in Tucson in 1988. Staying in Tucson - he worked as a Facility Manager for several companies including Artisoft and IFS.
Instead of retiring after all those years – he wanted to continue helping others, so he took advantage of his talents by being a handyman. He was a hard worker and could solve any issue and fix anything. If something was wrong, call Dave – he was always ready and willing to help - anyone and everyone.
Along each path David took throughout his journey, he relished the relationships and friends he made along the way. He enjoyed the conversations and could talk for hours with anyone that would listen.
David cherished his family, and everyone heard the pride and joy explode from him as he told them of his grandchildren and now great-grandchildren. They all loved him very much and have been so blessed to have him in their lives.
David was a kind, caring, selfless wonderful man that will be dearly missed by so many!
The family would like to thank you for all your support during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 7th. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 8th at 2pm. at Bring's Broadway Chapel 6910 East Broadway Blvd.
