Julian Ray Postell of Dorchester , South Carolina entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2024. He was the son of Berkeley Lee Joseph Postell and Beverly Davis Postell. He was a beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, and Uncle who left an everlasting mark on his family. Ray loved to catch catfish, watch football and work on cars, but most importantly he loved the Lord. He retired from Charleston County Fleet Operations after 28 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his daughter, Tiffany (William) Hickman, step sons Boogie Benton and Frankie (Roxanne) Benton. His siblings Debra (Don) Smith of Summerville, Thomas James Postell, Reggie (Ann) Postell of Ravenel, Glenn (Sally) Postell of Givhans, Allen (Tere) Postell of Edisto, SC. His grandchildren, Payton Hickman, Jacob(Cindy) Benton, Josh Benton, Joslyn Broad and Shayla Benton. His nephews Berkeley Lee Postell, Eric (Heather) Postell, Arthur (Wendy) Cordray III, Phillip (Amy) Cordray, Thomas Postell, Daniel (Whitney) Postell, Preston Postell, Matthew (Kelly) Postell, and David (Stephanie) Postell, and Doug Johnson. His nieces, Jaimie (Bryant) Thrift, Jennifer (Billy) Walpole, Heather Postell, Rachel Postell, Brittany (Willy) Neilson, Kimberly Postell, Amanda Postell and Jenny Johnson. He is predeceased by his parents Berkeley and Beverly Postell and his brother, Berkeley Postell Jr.
Funeral services will be Sunday July 28, 2024 at Sauldam Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 1 pm. Services starting at 2pm. Burial to follow at Brookhaven Fellowship.
Ray will forever be missed by his friends and family.
