Amelia Marie Adams

Amelia Marie (Amy) Adams, Age 43, of Windsor, Colorado, passed away on July 20th, 2024 at home in Windsor.  

Amy was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Thomas and Patricia Adams on January 11th, 1981.  She graduated from Ocean Springs (Mississippi) High School in 1999.  She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from the University of West Alabama.  She moved to Colorado in 2005 to begin her career as a teacher in elementary education, last teaching at Bella Romero Academy in Greeley, Colorado. 

Amy was a student first educator and loved going to school everyday to impact her students.  She loved the Rocky Mountains and treasured the outings and vacations with Anthony, Abigail and Avery or whomever would venture out with her for a day trip. 

Amy is survived by her spouse Anthony Matthews and their children Abigail and Avery Matthews of Windsor; a brother William T. Adams of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; parents Thomas and Patricia Adams of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and nieces Anna Marie Adams and Madison Lindsey Adams of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

A Life Celebration will be held at Adamson Life Celebration Home on 2 August 2024 at 11:00 am in Greeley, Colorado with a reception following.
