William Don Peck
January 23rd, 1936 - July 31st, 2024
William Don Peck of Frankfort, KY, age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving and adoring family. Don was the 3rd of 4 children born to Clyde Cecil Peck and Laddus Wimberly Lancaster who preceded him in death along with his loving wife, Marilyn Hines Peck. His sister, Delores Peck, brother, Dr. Charles Peck, sister-in-law, Kathleen Petty Peck, and lifelong friend, Edward Schaeffer “Uncle Eddie” of Paducah, KY.
He is survived by one sister, Phyllis Finley of Russell Springs, KY; four children, daughter, Robin Coston of Winchester, KY, daughter, Tammy Hunt (Dave) of Stafford, VA, son, Shane Peck (Cassaundra) of Lawrenceburg, KY, and daughter, Angela Peck of Frankfort, KY; six grandchildren, Clay Coston (Tricia) of Lexington, KY, Jake Hunt (Sara) of Berlin, Germany, Sam Hunt (Emily) of Brooklyn, NY, Zach Peck of Frankfort, KY, Graham Coston (Hannah) of Winchester, KY, and Emily Redmon of Frankfort, KY; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Don retired from the Kentucky Tourism Cabinet. He was a beloved member of the Church of the Ascension. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren and was an avid fan of University of Kentucky sports. Our hearts ache that he will no longer be with us and will be missed by all, but will be waiting for us in Heaven, welcoming all of us home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00p until 2:00p on September 7, 2024, at the Church of the Ascension, 311 Washington St, Frankfort, KY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the Diabetes Foundation at diabetesfoundationinc.org or the American Heart Association at heart.org. Online Condolences may be made to the family at Afterall.com.
