John “Aloysius” Welch, 73, of Fountain, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 2, 2024 after a surgical procedure at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. John leaves behind his wife Karen, his beloved Belgian Malinois Koti, a son Sean and his wife Chasity of Chaparral, New Mexico, a daughter Nicole or El Paso, Texas and six grandchildren. John was born on November 1, 1950 in Monroe, Michigan, and was preceded in death by his parents Lesliea nd Dorothy Welch. John is survived by six siblings and leaves behind several nieces and nephews. 

 

John served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He enjoyed several years in services and sales at Ann Arbor Implement, as well as owning his own business as a Laser Printer Technologist. He showed his love to others as an auto mechanic and as a “jack of all trades.” John was well known for his humor, friendliness and outgoing personality. 

 

John's final wish was a private cremation without services. Donations in John's memory can be made to the Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 or Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
