Michael John Corriere, 71, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on August 14, 2024. Born on August 28, 1952, in Horsham, PA, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism before serving as a Captain in the US Army in the late 70's and early 80's, which brought his post assignment to Nuremberg, Germany, where his daughter Christina was born. Michael previously lived in Springfield, VA., Centreville, VA., and Hyattsville, MD.
He is survived by his partner of 21 years, Ramata Janneh; her son, Alhaji Janneh, and his daughter Aliyah Janneh of Silver Spring, MD; his son, John Corriere of Manassas Park, VA; and his daughter, Christina Grivas (Tino) and grandson Leo Grivas of Jeffersonton, VA. He is also survived by his sisters Jennifer Kellerman (Lee) and Mary Scanlon (Patrick), as well as their families; including niece Rebecca Choi (Daehan), niece Jennifer Pearlman (Eric) with great-nephews Miles and Colin, and niece Laura Johnson (Ryan) with great-niece Sydney.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, John D. Corriere and Mary Attinello Corriere. The family would like to thank everyone at Rapp Funeral & Cremation Services in Silver Spring, MD. for their kindness and assistance during this time of transition.
