Kenneth George Winstanley

Kenneth George Winstanley entered this life on August 22, 1931 in Oldham, England. He passed from it on August 5, 2024, at the age of 92. The time between those two dates was a lifetime of love of his wife of 69 years, Jean Carroll Winstanley. Married in England on January 15, 1955, they immigrated in 1963 to Long Island, New York and moved to Belleview, Florida in 1976. Ken and Jean were very proud to become Citizens of the United States in 1974. Kenneth is survived by his wife, and five children, Carol (Roger) Yeaman of Belleview, Roy (Helene) Winstanley of New York, Diane (John) Drake of Belleview, Steve (Lisa) Winstanley of Summerfield and Keith (Karen) Winstanley of Summerfield, 11 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren with one more due in October 2024 and a Great-Great Grandchild due in January 2025.  Kenneth was a milkman in England and Long Island, was a supervisor with the City of Ocala until his retirement. Ken and Jean loved to cruise and completed 103 cruises, last one being this last May. They loved to travel and enjoyed many years of cruises and returning to visit family in England.  Ken and Jean owned and operated Rose Garden Cottages in Belleview and Ken helped Jean with their business of Jean’s Craft & Supplies Store in Belleview. Ken was a member of the Friends of the Belleview Library for many years, serving as president for a time. He loved his roses and had a lovely Rose Garden. Kenneth G. Winstanley will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ken was a member of the Belleview United Methodist Church for many years.
