Elizabeth E Gibson (Hamilton), 55, of Syracuse, passed away on August 19th 2024 after a long illness.  Elizabeth was raised in a strong scottish catholic household and made sure to pass that legacy down to her children. She will be remembered lovingly for her sharp wit, warm hugs, storytelling, generosity, and love of God. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Mitchell W. Gibson, parents James and Janet Hamilton (McDonald), her brother James Hamilton, sisters Marion Sullivan, Christine Hamilton, and Anne Frances Hamilton. She is also predeceased by her beloved rescue dog “Lassie.” Elizabeth is survived by her sister Margaret (Joseph) Leonard. Elizabeth is survived by a son Christopher(Amy)Pavlides of Clay, daughters Caitlin Bracy (Patrick) and Alex Pavlides of Buffalo. Daughters, Jade and Janet (Richard) Gibson of Syracuse, many nieces and nephews as well as 4 granddaughters and 5 grandsons whom she “loved more.”

Calling hours will be Friday August 30th from 9:30am to 10:30am at Most Holy Rosary Church 111 Roberts Ave Syracuse NY 13207 with a mass at 10:30am. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Contribiutions in lieu of flowers can be made to Most Holy Rosary church.
