With great sorrow, The Freeman Family announces the peaceful passing of Richard Lee Freeman, 75, in Viera on August 7, 2024. Richard was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on December 16, 1948 to Emma Jean and Richard Roy Freeman. He was the eldest of 4 children. His family moved down to Orlando where he met the woman he fell in love with who just happened to live down the street. He married Carolyn Barco and had a family. He graduated from Rollins College with Honors and supported the family while his loving wife completed law school. Richard had a mind for cars, computers, planes, trains, history, and football.

Richard is survived by his wife (Carolyn), his two children (Carolyn Lee and Eric), his two grandchildren (Connor and Hannah), his surviving sisters (Patricia and Kathleen), and the surviving wife (Melissa) of his brother (William).

As he wished, Richard will be cremated. The Freeman Family will hold a private celebration of life with his close relatives and friends. He loved dogs. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to donate, please donate to any dog rescue charity.
