Eloise Turner
September 7th, 1926 - May 13th, 2011
September 7, 1926 - May 13, 2011 "For God is our God forever and ever, He will be our guide even to the end." Psalm 48:14 Eloise Turner, much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2011. Eloise was born on a farm in Rutland, Iowa to Elwood Hansen and Mildred Miner Hansen. She was married to Edwin Jackson Turner on May 7, 1948 and had 3 children. The family lived in Oregon in the areas of Portland, Sherwood, Newberg, and Clackamas. Eloise was a Nurse's Aid for some time before working at the First State Bank in Oak Grove. She also worked at Kingsize Photo in Portland, and then after many years in Administration at Hanna Industries, she retired and remained at her home in Clackamas with her husband Ed. Her husband Ed worked most of his life for Smith Home Furnishings. He had already been retired due to health issues, and Eloise became a Nurse once again. Eloise enjoyed family very much and always relished family gatherings, where she could be counted on to take many photos and always prepare a new dish for everyone to try. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, hiking, and taking road trips. You could always find her doing the daily crossword puzzle, watching Lawrence Welk, or enjoying the trivia on Cash Cab. She always had a bright smile and a kiss for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Tri City Baptist Temple for many years and was active in their Young At Heart group for seniors. Eloise's husband, Ed, preceded her in death on November 6, 1995. She is survived by her 3 children: Patricia Barth, Carolyn Watson, and Dennis Turner, 4 grandchildren; Glorie Totten, Jennifer Totten, Paul Watson, and Sherri Watson; daughter-in-law Kim Watson; son-in-law Oscar Interiano; and 3 great-grandchildren: Sean Watson, Ava Watson, and Isaac Interiano Totten. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 7th at 1:00 pm at Tri City Baptist Temple in Gladstone, Oregon. A private graveside service has already been held. Service Information

We Entrusted Eloise Turner's Care To
Wilhelm's Portland Memorial Funeral Home
At Wilhelm's Portland Memorial, we have a rich history dating back to 1901 when we became the first crematory west of the Mississippi River, known then as The Portland Cremation Association. Our historic chapel, marked by its cornerstone placed on February 5th, 1901, has stood the test of time. Today, our memorial site spans 8 stories, approximately 7 miles of corridors of beautifully preserved architecture, and the largest mausoleum on the west coast, spanning 2.5 city blocks....
