Marjorie "Margie" Sutton
February 11th, 1933 - August 26th, 2024
Margie Sutton, born on February 11, 1933, in Pasadena, California, is a remarkable woman with a rich life story. As the youngest of three siblings, she has always been surrounded by family, marrying her husband Kenneth Sutton in 1952. Together, they raised a son, Michael and two daughters, Lori and Terri, and enjoyed the company of their two grandkids
A passionate athlete, Margie played competitive tennis for 40 years, earning five medals along the way. Her love for tennis continued over the years, she avidly watched the sport and kept up with both past and present players. Pink was her favorite color, and she found joy in reading anything by Danielle Steele.
When it came to food, Margie had a taste for oysters and lobster, and her favorite animal was a dog. She held her father, Arthur, in high esteem, admiring him greatly. Fishing was another of her passions; she had been fishing since she was 10 years old and continued to enjoy it. One of her favorite fishing spots was above Carter Lake in Loveland, Colorado. A memorable fishing trip to Alaska saw her catch not one, but two 200-pound halibut. Margie's determination shone through when she insisted on reeling in the second fish by herself, declaring, "NO, IT'S MY FISH!"
In addition to her sporting talents, Margie is also self-taught in swimming. When asked to rate her coolness on a scale of 1-10, she confidently claimed a "10" on a good day. Her zest for life and adventurous spirit truly made her a remarkable individual.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters; Lori (Paul Miranda) Sutton Terri (Brian) Hoyt, Two Grandchildren; Kristine, Scott Hoyt, Monique (Wesley) Beighly, Great Grandchildren; Landon, Beckett, Berlynn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family and her Best Friend: Nancy Bergen.
Preceded by her husband, Kenneth and her oldest son Michael D. Sutton.
