Wayne Daniel Pritchard, Sr., 78, a cherished husband, devoted father, esteemed pastor, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, in Warner Robins, Georgia. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 1-3 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, followed by a funeral service at 3 PM. Committal services will be held immediately after at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  

 

Born on February 26, 1946, in Griffin, Georgia, and was the youngest of ten children. Wayne's life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and heartfelt dedication. As the esteemed pastor of Henderson Road Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia, for 30 years, Wayne's life was one of steadfast faith and unwavering service to his Lord and Savior. Wayne's steadfast dedication to his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found solace and guidance in the Bible, reading it from cover to cover every year. His fervent prayers were a source of comfort and strength to his family, church, and all who sought his counsel. Wayne was known to intercede diligently, calling out the names of his loved ones and church members each day with unyielding devotion. His life's mission was to win as many souls to the Lord as possible, a calling he fulfilled with great passion and joy. Wayne's warm and inviting presence was felt by all who knew him. He had a special gift for humor and music, often sharing new jokes or performing sweet gospel songs he wrote himself. His kindness and genuine care touched the lives of many, making him a beloved figure in his community. Wayne's legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.  

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of over 61 years, Patsy Jones Pritchard, who remained his greatest blessing throughout his life. Together, their union stood as a beacon of enduring love and commitment. Wayne was the proud father of three children, Wayne Daniel Pritchard Jr. (Laura), Tammie Beth Cordrey (Dale), and Sharmon Ann Bartholomew (Ronnie). He was also a beloved grandfather to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to twenty great-grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Berta Leon Pritchard, and his granddaughter, Erika Michelle Bartholomew.  

 

 In the words of the scripture, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!" Wayne Daniel Pritchard, Sr.'s life was a testament to these words, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
