Jessica Lee Westcott gained her wings on Saturday, August 31, 2024, with her mama holding her hand at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Jessica’s passion was being a wonderful mother to Landen, and teaching was both her career and passion. She was on her way to completing her bachelor’s degree. She was employed with GenerationEd as an NC Pre-K Teacher TA.
Jessica was a warrior in the battle fighting a hidden disease of Lupus. She fought a long hard battle with courage and dignity. She fought for her son and family and gave all she had. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Jessica was born in Greensboro, NC, on April 5, 1994. She was preceded in death by her Papa, Roger D. Bolden; great-grandparents; many great-uncles; and two second cousins.
Jessica is survived by her son, Landen Blake; parents, Deborah and Michael Blake of
Greensboro; sister, Michelle (Austin) Kurtz; niece, Elizabeth; nephew, Waylon all of Warwick, NY; her Nana, Cora Bolden; uncles, Cliff Bolden and Roger H. Bolden; a very special girl, Addison Bolden; several cousins; many great aunts and cousins; fur baby, Bella; godparents, John and Tracey Blevins; and her god-sister, Adrianna Blevins.
