Carol Anita Del Giorno

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Del Giorno, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:45 AM, surrounded by her loving family.

Carol dedicated her life to caring for others, spending many years working with handicapped children. Her compassion and unwavering commitment to their well-being touched the lives of countless families and inspired those around her. She had a unique ability to bring joy and comfort to those in need, and her legacy of kindness will forever be remembered.

Born with a nurturing spirit, Carol was not only a devoted caregiver but also a cherished matriarch. She was a source of strength and wisdom for her family, always offering support and encouragement. She took tremendous pride in her sons while her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Carol's life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. She had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and her friendships were a reflection of her generous heart. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Cecilia) Lamardo, and Anthony (Karen) Lamardo, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Thomas Lamardo.

Visitation will be held at Sun City Center Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 2-5 PM and her burial on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity supporting children with disabilities, a cause that was close to Carol's heart.
