Gary Deane Parker, 82, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away on August 30, 2024, at LifePath Hospice House in Sun City Center. Born in Wareham, MA, and raised in Boston, MA, Gary spent most of his life in California before retiring to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel Frederick Parker and Stacia Anna Parker, and his sibling, Noel “Buster” Parker Jr. Gary is survived by his wife, Kim Tadsen Parker; his daughters, Kristen Parker (Bryan Daniels), Dylyn Dizon (Darren), October “Toby” Riddle (James), and Amber-Rose Freitas (Ted); his sibling, Mark Parker; and his cherished grandchildren, Alexandra Janney, Duncan House, Hannah House, Megan Evans, Natalie Riddle, Brooke Freitas, and Claire Freitas.

Gary’s life was a tapestry of relationships with family, friends, business partners, and acquaintances. Known for his love of life and adventure, he was driven by a passion for success. After earning degrees in Political Science from Stanford University and Business from Haas School of Business, he actively engaged in politics and ultimately dedicated himself to owning and managing a commercial construction company in the San Francisco Bay Area.  With over 30 years in business, Gary built a company that was not only successful but also fostered an environment of learning and growth. As a mentor to both field and office staff, he made a lasting impact on many, shaping their careers and creating enduring relationships.

In addition to his professional achievements that stemmed from his hard work ethic, Gary found joy in music, dancing, fine cuisine—especially ice cream and peanut butter cups—cooking, travel, and creative pursuits such as bonsai styling. His enthusiasm for life and dedication to his endeavors left a lasting impact on those around him.

The family will host a memorial at a later date to honor and celebrate Gary’s remarkable life.
