Faye Haas

Faye Haas, 97, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, passed away August 30, 2024 at home, being cared for lovingly by her family and Bristol Hospice Northern Colorado. Faye was born in Rapid City, South Dakota March 11, 1927 to Edna Emma Bennett and Pearl Dwight Bennett. She graduated from Rapid City High School and North Central Bible University in Minneapolis, MN. She married Roger Vaughn Haas, her high school sweetheart, in Rapid City, South Dakota on August 25, 1948.

They moved to Ft Collins, Colorado in 1977.

Faye and Roger served as ministers in North & South Dakota, Iowa and Colorado for many years.  She especially enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Youth Groups. She has always been young at heart, loved God and her family.

While in Ft. Collins she worked as a bank teller at First National Bank, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and at Farver’s Flowers. Her hobbies included cooking and baking…especially cinnamon rolls!

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Ross of Kansas City, MO, and husband Bob Ross, son Jon Haas, and his wife Esther Haas of Ft. Collins; 6 grandchildren, Cheryl Fitzmorris (Matt) of Overland Park, KS, Marianne Bray of Olathe, KS, Lea Anne Smith (John) of Olathe, KS, Matt Haas (Dawn) of Windsor, CO, Ja’Nae Osgood (Ed) of Windsor, CO and Amanda Gallatin of Sheridan, WY.  She also was blessed with 30 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM September 23, 2024 at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Road Ft. Collins CO.
