Alyson June Reed
June 4th, 1961 - September 6th, 2024
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alyson June (Seiffert) Reed, who left us on September 6, 2024, in Granby, MA, at the age of 63. Alyson was born on June 4, 1961, in Holyoke, MA.
A loving daughter, Alyson is survived by her parents, David J. and Karen (Wilson) Seiffert. She was a nurturing mother to her three children, Stephen D. Denette, Kara M. DeYoung, and Brianna E. Carabano, who will miss her dearly. Alyson also leaves behind her cherished siblings, David J. Seiffert, Frederick P. Seiffert, and Hai Cheung.
Alyson devoted many years to Stonewall Insurance, where she worked diligently in the sales department. Her colleagues remember her for her commitment and professionalism.
A lifelong resident of Granby, MA, Alyson was known for her love of crafting. She spent countless hours weaving, knitting, and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by those she left behind. Alyson also had a deep affinity with the outdoors, often visiting the beaches and camping in Maine.
Her educational journey began at Granby High School, where she graduated in 1979, and embarked on an extraordinary adventure as an exchange student to Thailand. This experience fostered a lifelong commitment to cultural exchange, and she later hosted many exchange students through the AFS program, touching countless lives with her warmth and generosity.
