Jimmy Joe Westfall

Services for Jimmy Joe Westfall, 90, of Leesville, will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Mr. Herman Phipps will officiate. Interment in Woodridge Memorial Park will follow the service.

Jimmy Joe passed away at his home after a brief illness on September 5, 2024. Born in Poca West Virginia, he was a son of the late Garland Westfall and Ethel Johnson Westfall. Jimmy was an avid fisherman and hunter who also enjoyed gardening and glassblowing. He shared his bountiful home garden produce with friends and neighbors. Jimmy had a quick wit with a great sense of humor. He was a strong, hardworking man who loved his family and will be deeply missed.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Virginia Mae Westfall; daughters, Sandy Corriher of Lexington, Patty Raynes of Cross Lanes, WVA; grandchildren, Joey Corriher of Leesville and Colby Raynes of Cross Lanes, WVA; 3 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Luke and Isabella Raynes, and a large and loving family and many friends. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his son, Nicky Joe Westfall, brothers, Bobby, Billy and Garland Jr. Westfall.
