With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Irene E. Olesiewicz (née Keen), a cherished soul who left us on September 4, 2024, in Mullica Hill, NJ.
Family
Born on May 30, 1955, in Woodbury, NJ, Irene was the daughter of the late Joseph and Christine (née Bell) Keen. Irene's life was marked by her kindness, generosity, wonderful sense of humor, and genuine spirit that touched everyone she met. Irene was the beloved wife of Donald Olesiewicz, with whom she shared many joyful years filled with memorable trips, car rides and heartwarming conversations. Irene's family was a cornerstone of her life. She was a dear sister to Betty Convery (the late Patrick), Vicki Keen (Laurin Stahl), Robert Leggett (Betty Lou), and the late Christina Phillips (Richard). As a devoted sister-in-law, she cherished her relationships with Dianne Yasik (John), Denise Fox (Joe), Joseph Olesiewicz (Bridget), her beloved aunt, Irene Amato, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Legacy
Raised in Bellmawr, Irene graduated from Triton High School with the Class of 1973. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, humor, loyalty, and consideration. She found joy in the simple pleasures, especially playing cards and engaging in good conversation.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 14, 2024, after 10 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell (Washington Twp.) 08080. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM, with interment being private.
In lieu of flowers, Irene's family kindly requests that in her memory and spirit of being a kind woman, please pay her kindness forward by performing a random act of kindness for someone.
Irene E. Olesiewicz will always be remembered for her warm heart and generous spirit. Her legacy of kindness continues to inspire those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Rest in peace, Irene.
