Rickie Douglas Reed

Rickie Douglas Reed, of Frankfort, Kentucky born on November 13, 1949, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Rickie, a kind and gentle soul, dedicated his life to hard work and his family. He completed his Bachelor's degree and went on to build a fulfilling career as a Construction Worker. His unwavering work ethic and commitment to his craft were evident throughout his life, contributing to the growth and strength of his community. Rickie was a beloved member of his family and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his very loving ex-wife, Patricia Reed, and his daughter, Varica Reed Noel. He is also survived by his caring siblings: sisters Sherry Shropshire (Mitch), Lisa Holland, and Angie Mitchell, and his brother James Yadon (Terri). Additionally, Rickie is remembered by several nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished him deeply. Rickie was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel Reed and Pauline Mount Riggs. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him and whose lives he touched with his generosity and kindness. A inurnment ceremony will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky on Friday, September 13, 2024, where family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of Rickie Douglas Reed.
