Mary Wood Spangler, 79, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

A native of Newport News, VA, Mary was the wife of 50 years to Leroy Spangler, Jr. and the daughter of Elbert Wood and Estelle Elizabeth Delsey Wood, both deceased.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy; son, Nick Spangler and wife, Sarah Elizabeth Bonecutter; granddaughter, Raleigh Elizabeth Spangler; and brother, John E. Wood.

A memorial service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Lanny Lancaster officiating. The family will greet friends with a reception immediately following the service in the commons area of the church.
