Louise Bettencourt
July 13th, 1940 - September 11th, 2024
Louise Bettencourt, 84, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away on September 11, 2024 at ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda surrounded by her children, Diane and Steven, and her longtime companion of 18 years, Steven Fessenden. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Andrade) Bettencourt. She is survived by her children Diane Lancellotta of Venice, Florida and Steven Dufresne (Cynthia) of Plano, Texas and grandchildren, Emily, Nora and Angelina. She was the sister of the late John Bettencourt of Virginia, the late Mary Burgess of Cumberland and Albert Bettencourt of Bristol, Rhode Island. Louise dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed dancing, traveling, cooking, and bingo. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for family and friends and making baby blankets for Our Mother’s House in Venice, Florida. Louise reigned as Bristol Miss 4th of July 1957 at 17 years old. Louise will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
