Prudence C. Oare

Prudence Oare, 74 of Gloversville, NY, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024. 

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her children, daughter, Jennifer Oare (Steven) of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter Patricia Oare (John) of Guilderland, NY and son, Vincent Oare Jr. (Jeanette) of Mayfield; her grandchildren, Andrew Young (Gerlin), Nicklaus Oare, Justin Young, Nicolle Chase, Kristopher Oare (Lilly), Emmilee Oare, Tori Oare, Jacob Oare, Julianna Oare and Austin Oare; and great-grandchildren, Elianna, Kaiden, Lola, Sylas, Brantley and Charlotte; and a niece, Allison Oare.

Mrs. Oare traveled the world with her husband in the military.

She worked as a food service worker at Montgomery County Infirmary for 10 years before declining health and then a stay-at-home Grandma.

She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Hazel Sparks, her husband of 49 years, Vincent Oare Sr., her brothers, Drew Szabo, Kevin Sparks, Margie Button and Locksey Rorick. Her remaining siblings are Julia Hull, Nida Chiariello (Fred) and Randy Sparks (Maryanne); and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11:00AM at the Northville Pilgrim Holiness Church, 1284 County Hwy 123, Northville, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Veterans Administration 113 Holland Ave, Albany, NY 12208.

Her cremated remains will be interred at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY with her husband at the convenience of her family.
