Linda Elaine Anderson
December 12th, 1969 - September 16th, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Elaine Anderson, age 54, who left us peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2024. Linda was born on December 12, 1969, in Ontario, Oregon. She was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who knew her and her love for life and indomitable spirit will always shine on.
Linda was a devoted mother to her beloved adopted son, Abel Therin Anderson, and the cherished daughter of May McBride and Dale Anderson. She was the eldest and beloved sister to Brenda Freeman and Brian Anderson, with whom she shared countless memories and an unwavering bond. Linda loved all living things, plants, people and animals, but she found her calling in life when she became a mother to her son Abel, where she devoted her remaining years with advocacy, determination and love.
Linda found fulfillment in her work and dedicated herself to helping others with compassion and care. She worked as a Sales Manager and earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology, later working as a Direct Support Professional. She held a lifelong commitment to service and a passion for making a difference in the lives of those around her. She took a fond interest in helping special needs individuals and often shared her love for the Lord and testified to the strength and hope he granted her.
Her life was filled with diverse interests and passions. She loved to travel and found joy in all nature's beauty. She loved to cook and share recipes and culinary creations with family and friends. She was very creative and found solace in painting, artwork and culture. Linda found the most beauty in the simple pleasures of life and connected intimately and deeply with many people. Those who knew Linda will remember her for her infectious smile, warmth, wit, and the personal joy she brought to every room she entered.
Linda knew the Lord and accepted Him as her personal savior at 10 years old and was baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in 1990. With her spirits high and her health challenges stacked against her, she was remembered as noting a biblical phrase "I have the faith of a mustard seed", for this is the smallest seed that can put down roots and silently flourish and grow into a thriving tree. Most people did not know the extent of her health challenges, but her faith was strong and her perseverance was armed with that of the Lord. Linda’s light will forever shine in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for the vibrant life she lived.
On September 16th, 2024 Linda received a call. A call she could not refuse, letting her know her work on earth was done. She had an appointment she could not evade, an appointment in which she would not be returning from and soon she would be reunited with family and friends she had not seen in a long time. Rest now, in the Arms of the Lord, Dear Linda.
