Jutta "Oma" Annalisa Heberer
February 16th, 1926 - September 15th, 2024
Jutta, 98 “Oma” passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning at home with her daughter Konstanze and granddaughter Jenni by her side.
Jutta was born in Arnstadt/Thüringen East Germany. She came to the USA in 1963 with her husband Louis and daughter Konstanze. After her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Army they settles down in Colorado Springs, where she enjoyed life with her grandchildren, Jenni (Glenn), Gina “Kelley” (Glenn), great grandchildren; Justin, Brittanie, Rangelee (Eric), great-great grandchildren; Graison, Cayson, Aizlynn, and Austin.
Jutta had a full life as a codebreaker for the German Intelligence, she worked at a snack bar in Ft. Benning, then became manager at the Pizza Parlor in Ft. Carson. She then retired when her first grandchild, Jenni, was born. Jutta enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, bowling, crocheting, baking German goods (Christmas stollen), and enjoyed walking around Prospect Lake with her dog, Pepe.
She enjoyed traveling to China, Egypt, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Hawaii, and we can’t forget Las Vegas and Cripple Creek.
Thank you to Mount Saint Francis, Third Floor care staff and thank you to Abode Home Hospice nurses, caregiver, and volunteers, especially Jeanette.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at First Lutheran Church. A livestream will be available on YouTube “First Lutheran Church Colorado Springs Jutta Heberer”.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to First Lutheran Church, Pikes Peak Humane Society, and Saint Jude Hospital.
