With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Robbie Lee McCollum on September 1, 2024, in Centralia, Washington. Born on November 23, 1944, in Riverside, California, Robbie led a life filled with love, dedication, and enriching moments that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.

Robbie spent her childhood in Riverside. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1963, and it was there that she cultivated many friendships and cherished memories. On December 10, 1966, she married the love of her life, Phil McCollum, at the United Methodist Church in Chehalis, Washington, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together until his passing.

Throughout her career, Robbie demonstrated remarkable commitment and skill. She worked as a stenographer for the State of Washington Employment Security Department in Olympia and later as an educational assistant for Reliable Enterprises in Centralia, Washington. Her dedication to her work and the people she served left a lasting impression on her colleagues and community.

Robbie had a gentle soul and a creative spirit. She found solace and joy in her crafting projects, with knitting being one of her most cherished pastimes. Her love for antique stores reflected her appreciation for history and the stories behind treasured objects. Robbie's home was a testament to her talents and passions, always filled with warmth and creativity.

She is survived by her loving son, Lyle McCollum; her twin sister, Bobbie Walker of Elma, WA; and her sister, Susan Ragan-Stuart of Shoreline, WA. Robbie also leaves behind a legacy through her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will remember her kindness and generosity.

Robbie is preceded in death by her husband, Phil McCollum, and her parents, Hazel and Eugene Ragan. The family honors her memory by reflecting on her life’s beautiful moments and celebrating the time they shared together.

Though there will be no ceremony at this time, the family invites those who knew Robbie to offer their condolences and remember the times that Robbie touched their lives in meaningful ways.
