"With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Sadly, Beverly Ann Varner, aged 80, passed away on Friday, September 11th, 2024, at her home in Winter Haven, Florida. She was born on August 22nd, 1944, to James and Edna Varner.

Beverly was a lifelong resident of Winter Haven. She received her education from Winter Haven High School, where she graduated in 1962. She later attended Southeastern Bible College, where she furthered her talents in piano. For years Beverly played the piano at various nursing homes, accompanying her parents as they ministered to the residents. She also played for her family at nearly every gathering, creating some of their favorite memories. She even occasionally played the piano at church, as well as sang in the choir. Beverly loved going to church and she was an avid tither. For most of her life, she attended First Assembly of God, which later became Cypress Gardens, and is now Champions Church. For the last few years of her life, she attended Winter Haven Church of God.

Beverly's career was in the citrus industry, having worked for W. G. Roe & Sons for years. Prior to that she was employed by Publix. She took an early retirement to take care of both of her ailing parents.  It was an incredibly selfless act and a huge contribution to her family!

Beverly was fiercely independent!  She was a frequent walker, and really enjoyed getting out and doing things for herself.  She also was an excellent cook, specializing in delicious Southern dishes like garlic fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, and sweet tea.

Beverly Varner was an extremely kind, generous, loving, faith-filled woman with a great sense of humor. She loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart, and we all loved her dearly. We will miss her terribly, but we are at peace knowing she is with her Heavenly Father and one day we all will be together again!

A memorial service will be held for Beverly on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, at New Hope Fellowship church. It is located at 307 Deen Boulevard in Auburndale, Fl. Family and friends are invited to attend and help us honor Beverly's memory. The service will begin at 11 a.m. Please join us for lunch in the church dining hall immediately following the service.

Beverly was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her older brother, Henry Clyde Varner. She is survived by: one brother, Junior Varner, two sisters-in-law, Alice and Mila Varner, one nephew, Ashley Varner, three nieces, Amber Albers, Alyssa Varner, and Rachel Drake, and one great-niece, Lilli Varner.
