Sandra Kay Strong Houchins, 63, of Johnson City went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 12, 2024. She was born in Kingsport to the late Ralph and Nita Strong. Sandra was an avid seamstress and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester and Jerry Strong.
Survivors include her daughter, Tabatha Houchins; son, Teddy Houchins; grandson, Alexander Houchins; granddaughter, Alana Jones; sister, Naomi Graves and husband Bob; along with a host of friends and extended family.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 6pm on Thursday, September, 26, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive by 5:50 pm.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Leslie, Robin, and Michelle for their loving care.
