Marva grew up in Colorado and graduated from Lincon High School. Marva suffered with post-polio syndrome her whole life but that never held her back. She loved to Fish and Camp, was an outstanding Hairdresser for over 20 years and even had her own shop in Grand Junction CO. for 12 years. She was one to always have many friends, loved to play bingo and was part of the El Jebels Shriners club for a long time. She was a wonderful mother and daughter and grandmother, always had positive words to say even if they were not always at the right time in the conversations. She loved to travel. Her last trip was to Memphis to see her granddaughter Tisha get Married to Christian Young her life partner, this was one of her dreams to accomplish and she did even after spending two nights in the hospital a week before we left from a minor heart attack. If there was a will there was a way she would say. We took her to Beale Street and BB Kings and enjoyed great food and some Jazz; she was in heaven. Her heart was as big as the sun. She loved to bake, that was her true passion, she baked every day, peach cobbler, fudge, German chocolate cake. Her smile lit up the room. She was filled with joy and shared that gift with others. She had an extraordinary sense of humor. She laughed easily and often. She was a lover of all animals, but especially dogs.
Marva had always been ill with chronic Crohn’s disease and also had an infectious disease that they could not figure out that was eating away at her legs. The past 5 years she had struggled with this illness terribly and being in the hospital over several times in a month. She most recently developed some heart issues that they were trying to remedy with medications, but I think with all of the sickness she was just tired.
She is preceded by, Marvin and Ester Edler parents, Linda Hunter & Laura Lee Sisters, Connor D. Britton Husband and Kristen Johnston daughter.
Survived by, Ella Maldonado Daughter, Son-in-law David Maldonado, 7 Grand Children, Adell Brooks, Andrea Brooks, Ariah Brooks, Tisha Young, Anthony Roth, Shii Maldonado, Mateo Maldonado. 6 Great Grandchildren, Isaiah Perez, Anthony Bath, Mya Brooks, Gabriel Krempel, Dominic Krempel, Camden Maldonado. Niece Nichole Hunter and Nephew Mathew Hunter.
We all used to joke, “She will outlive us all”.
She is in a peaceful place now and no longer suffering, may you rest in peace my beautiful mother.
She will be missed
