Marian was born September 18, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away at the age of 90 on September 19, 2024, surrounded by family.
She is preceded in death by her mother Sophie, her father Otto, sister Martha, and two sons Bob and John.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert, sons; Joe (Sharon), and Steve, daughters; Susan (Rollie) and Rosemary (Shaun), grandchildren; Katie, Brian, Andrew, Megan, Steven, and Nathan, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Marian was a collector of all things related to teddy bears. She loved growing flowers, reading, and enjoying the wildlife in the yard.
A first-generation German immigrant, Marian spent most of her early life in the Chicago area. However, after visiting Robert during his time stationed at Fort Carson in 1954 – 1955, she was captivated by the majestic landscape of Colorado. They promised themselves that one day they would make it their home. And in 1978, they did just that, settling in the state they had come to love.
She was a sweet, gentle, kind, and beautiful soul. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Her job in this realm is done. May she rest at peace.
