In 1968, the Anderson family moved to the Twin Cities where Wayne worked at the Burlington Northern Railroad. Then in 1973 the family moved to Arvada, Colorado when he was transferred and continued to work at the railroad until he retired. Wayne and Velma loved to travel, so after both had retired, many trips were taken. The two of them cherished going to and watching their children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s games, sporting events and extracurricular interests. Wayne was a kind, compassionate, loving, gentle man who always looked to bring a calm head to any situation and show others love. He was an example of a man who looked to make others feel loved, no matter who they were. Wayne loved nothing more than his wife, children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
