With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Sue Purvis, who departed this life on September 28, 2024, in Warner Robins, GA. Deborah was born on January 17, 1956, in Eastman, GA, and spent her life in Georgia, where she was dearly loved by family and friends.Deborah was a woman of steadfast faith, attending Faith Baptist Church in Bonaire, GA, where her presence was warmly felt. A true homemaker at heart, she enjoyed creating beautiful crochet blankets that were cherished by all who received them. Her compassion and thoughtfulness were unmatched—Deborah never missed a birthday and always kept loved ones in her thoughts.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Purvis and Jack Purvis, and her parents, W.F Purvis and Leomie Yawn Purvis. Their memories remain fondly in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.Deborah is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Brenda Griffin, Peggy Tucker and her husband Howard, and Hughey Purvis and his wife Anita. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy and love throughout her life; Brett Griffin, Drew Purvis, Joshua Purvis, Matthew Purvis, Sarah P. Bryant, Amber Tucker, great nieces and nephews, Delilah Griffin, Aiden Griffin, Lynn Lee Purvis, Jackson Purvis, Kennedy Purvis, Maisyn Bryant, Katie Bryant, Ajay Hester, and Makayla Hester.
Though her ceremony details will be announced at a later date, her memory will be held close by all those who experienced her big heart and kind spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends and relatives take a moment to remember Deborah's impactful life by extending kindness and compassion to one another, as she always did. Condolences to the family and stories of Deborah's warmth are encouraged to be shared in private remembrance. Rest in peace, Deborah. Your light and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew you.
