Jack Xavier Woods

Jack Xavier Woods passed away on September 13, 2024, at the age of 91 in Sun City, Arizona. Born on May 12, 1933, in Winslow AZ. Jack lived a fulfilling life marked by his passion for automotive innovation and his service in the Navy.
In his professional life, Jack was a renowned figure in the racing community. He was the proud owner of Woods Wheel Works and Woods Off Road Products. His inventions, including the White spoke rims and the Vulcan Chassis, left a significant mark on the racing world.
Jack's enthusiasm for automobiles extended into his personal life. He passionately engaged in drag and off-road racing, embracing the thrill and camaraderie of the racing culture.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Laura Waters (Don), Carol Meyer (Paul), and Valerie Selman (Wayne); six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, and his parents, Francis and Ulene Woods.
Jack's dedication to his family, his pioneering spirit in the automotive industry, will be remembered by all who knew him. His legacy in the racing community and the memories he created with his family will continue to be cherished by friends, family, and admirers alike.
