Mr. Lyman Leroy Spangler, Jr., 79, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024.
A native of Newport News, VA, Leroy was the husband of 50 years to the late Mary Wood Spangler and the son of Lyman Leroy Spangler, Sr. and Mable Elaine Hollingsworth Spangler, both deceased.
Survivors include his son, Nick Spangler and wife, Sarah Elizabeth Bonecutter; granddaughter, Raleigh Elizabeth Spangler; and brother, Cary Spangler and wife, Barbara.
In addition to his wife and parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Spangler, and brother, Donald Spangler.
A memorial service celebrating Leroy’s life will be held 3:00PM Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Lanny Lancaster officiating. The family will greet friends with a reception immediately following the service in the commons area of the church.
