Bryan Lynn Dockery
August 4th, 1987 - September 27th, 2024
Bryan Lynn Dockery, 37, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2024. He was a graduate of Dobyns Bennett High School and later attended Northeast State Community College. Bryan was self-employed as a carpenter. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on his antique cars and tractors. Bryan will be remembered for his giving and caring heart as he was always willing to help a friend or neighbor.
He was preceded in death by his, paternal grandfather, Ray Dockery; paternal grandmother, Alma Dockery; maternal grandparents, Curtis H. and Betty Jo Peters.
Survivors include his parents, Jackie and Marcia Denise Dockery; sister, Kristin and fiancé Jerome King; special niece that he dearly loved, Eva Grace “pretty girl”; fiancé and love of his life, Kayla Rollins; special uncles, Ivan and Billy Dockery and Don Peters and wife Edith; aunt, Patricia Farthing; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October, 2, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Scott Fields and Don Peters II officiating. Music will be provided by Jim Holtzclaw and friends and Donna Duncan.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Midway. Pallbearers will be Jason Grubb, Bill Towler, Jerome King, William King, Don Peters II, and Josh Smith. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
