Frances "Kim" Hindley, aged 80, passed away peacefully on 09/28/2024 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was born on 04/15/1944 in Aurora, Illinois, to her loving parents Mary Niesendorf and Felix Eder, who preceded her in death. Kim was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Hindley, who passed away in 2007.

Kim is survived by a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. She will be deeply missed by her close friends Roger and Sharlene Sannes, her confidant Sue Lathrop, and many other friends she touched throughout her life.

Having attended Oak Park Elementary, Aurora High School, and Aurora College, Kim pursued a life full of adventure, creativity, and dedication. Her journey with Howard was a testament to their enduring love and shared passion for exploration. They would travel all over Europe spending many years working aboard a canal barge traveling the canals in France. Howard was the pilot and Frances (Kim) was the hostess and first mate. This they enjoyed for many years, before soon traveling to the Canary Islands and becoming involved in acquiring several rental properties which they lived in and managed, returning to the US only to work and earn more money to invest in the Canaries. Traveling the canals of France to acquiring rental properties in the Canary Islands, Kim lived a life filled with colorful experiences and cherished memories.

Her foray into the antique business was a serendipitous turn of events that allowed her to showcase her keen eye for detail and passion for preserving the past. Kim's appreciation for fashion and antiques bloomed at a young age, shaping her into the knowledgeable collector and decorator she became. Her generosity, quiet strength, and wisdom endeared her to all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her community and beyond.

Kim's ageless beauty and magnetic personality drew people from all walks of life towards her, forming lifelong bonds and friendships. Always impeccably dressed and exuding grace, Kim's presence lit up any room she entered. Her love for refurbishing antiques brought her immense joy and fulfillment, reflecting her innate ability to breathe new life into forgotten treasures.

Kim was what some may refer to as an “old soul”, she was intelligent and wise beyond her years.

A private gathering will be held in Kim's honor, celebrating a life well-lived and a spirit that will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
