Steven Fred Lefler
March 5th, 1951 - September 26th, 2024
Steven Fred Lefler, beloved Child of God, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. He was an affectionate, dedicated and hard working man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Steve was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 5, 1951 and moved to the city of Tucson, Arizona, where he made his home. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter Heather (Toby), his son Brian (Aura), grandchildren; Tyler (Lindsey), Andrew (Jordan), and Madison. He is also survived by his identical twin brother, Mike (Barbara) nieces, Michelle (Greg) and Susie (Brent) and sister-in-law Cheryl and niece, Krista (Bil). He also had the joy of a large extended family and several great-grandchildren. Steve spent his entire adult life in Tucson. He retired after a long career in commercial construction but never retired from his dedicated service to Little League. He was actively involved for over 40 years; first as a Dad, then as a coach and then as the Arizona District 5 Assistant District Administrator. Steve was always the first one at the park, making sure that everything was ready for the games and the players, never missing the summer tournaments. He loved every minute of his work with Little League and treasured the friendships he made throughout that time. He was a sports enthusiast, especially the Arizona Wildcats and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved all of the time he spent in Patagonia, AZ at family get-togethers, especially when he won at poker and corn hole! Faith and family were his number one priorities. He loved the Lord and is joyous in Heaven where he has been reunited with his parents and family and friends who have gone before him. Some of Steve’s final words were “Keep your eyes on Christ, worry about nothing and pray about everything.” -Philippians 4:6 Services will be held at Light the Way Lutheran Church at 8611 N. Silverbell Rd. Tucson, AZ on November 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m
