Brandon Michael Sheats

Brandon Michael Sheats was born in Denver Colorado on January 13, 1982 to Tim and Helena Sheats. He grew up in Morrison Colorado, and attended elementary, middle and high school in Lakewood. Brandon†™s love of dogs began with the family dog, a golden retriever named †œTriever†�. His love for his †œpups†� continued to grow, finally including his constant companions Thor and Tiberius. When it came to sports he was a natural on the basketball court. He spent time on the slopes with friends skiing as well as snowboarding. On his family†™s annual trips to Mexico he was at home in the water and learned to snorkel and scuba dive. He LOVED the outdoors, backpacking on the Flattops, hiking and camping in the beautiful Colorado Mountains. At the age of 15 he was baptized as one of Jehovah†™s Witnesses. In recent months Brandon was making an effort to renew his relationship with Jehovah God, seeking help to do so. As his health was declining, this brought him peace and reassurance. He was a hard-working young man and helped with his family†™s lawn mowing/aerating service for many summers. As an adult he moved to the Castle Rock Colorado area. His love of cooking was evident by the variety of spices he kept, and always looking for a new recipe to try. Some of his specialties were eggs benedict, chicken pot pie, and baking cookies. Just weeks prior to his death, he had even deep-fried a turkey with Cajun seasoning and all the trimmings! He lived a pretty simple life, working at Century Link for 18 years as a Cable Technician, to support his passion for the outdoors and his dogs. Brandon was admitted to hospice care on Saturday November 23 and died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at home with his family in Arvada Colorado. Brandon was a thoughtful and caring young man. His generosity and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him. Brandon†™s big heart was very evident, making the number of dear friends too numerous to list, some of whom he considered to be his family. Brandon was loved SO MUCH and will be missed more than words can say...
