Jerry Russell Lanfair

Jerry Russell Lanfair of Thornton, Colorado, passed away September 28, 2024, surrounded by his family in the care of hospice. His life has left a mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Born to Arvol and Oleta Lanfair on January 11, 1947, in Wichita Falls, TX, his family instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and love that he passed on. Jerry served in the US Army, a testament to his commitment of duty. After his military service he, moved to Albuquerque NM to work for family in the commercial refrigeration industry which eventually landed him in Colorado where he worked in the industry until he retired. Throughout his career he was respected and admired for his work ethic, earning him the respect of colleagues and new friendships. Jerry was a dedicated professional and family man. He shared a life filled with love, and laughter, with his wife Lorrie for 33 years. Their partnership was an inspiration and unbreakable.

Jerry enjoyed The Walking Dead and the occasional Coors Light. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny, as well as his parents Arvol and Oleta. His absence leaves a void, but the memories will continue to live on in our hearts. Jerry is survived by his wife Lorrie, children, Jerry, Brandy, Tawny, Carl and Nicole, 5 grandchildren, his older sister Barbara, and numerous extended family members. 

Jerry will be buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3:00pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held 3:30 - 6:30pm, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at VFW Post 9644, 2680 West Hampden Avenue, Sheridan, Colorado 80110.
