Rustico E Aranas, Jr.
July 20th, 1934 - October 5th, 2024
Rusty wanted to give his family the world and he succeeded. He was a fierce provider and worked hard throughout his lifetime for his family.
Rustico “Rusty” Endaya Aranas, Jr., 90 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 5, 2024. Rusty was born on July 20, 1934, in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines to Basilisa Endaya and Rustico Aribal Aranas, Sr. He will be reunited in heaven with his beloved parents, as well as with his siblings, Myrna, Cynthia, Peter, Cristina, Delores and Albert.
Rusty was a brilliant achiever and found success in everything he did. He was a 30-year retired veteran of the United States Coast Guard (CWO4) and held a bachelor’s degree in both Business and Economics from Central Washington University.
He excelled in all his favorite hobbies. He was an exceptional cook and was well known for creating the most delightful, perfectly planned and delicious sit-down meals for his family and friends. Holidays were always marked with beautiful table settings, laughter and incredible food. He was an avid gardener who took pride in his beautifully manicured yard and an amazing jack of all trades with a broad knowledge of many things. He also loved league bowling over the years with great friends and cheering for his Seattle Mariners, Seahawks and Kraken, along with many other sports teams.
Above all, Rusty’s biggest joy in life was his family. He was married to his wife, Leticia for 58 beautiful years and his love and devotion to her will transcend all time. He was the best father to his two daughters, Liz and Lory and to his son-in-law, Shawn. To his grandchildren, Natalie (Braden), Jackson, Grady and Lizzie he was the most adoring, humorous, attentive, supportive and doting “Umpa” to ever grace the earth. To Rusty, his grandchildren hung the moon. He rallied hard for them at all their football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, karate, cheerleading and school events. He encouraged them in their academics and advised them on all things “life”. He was always there. He was always present. He was always the proudest. His guidance, his mentorship and his love were invaluable to his children and grandchildren.
Rusty wanted to give his family the world and he succeeded. He was a fierce provider and worked hard throughout his lifetime for his family. He thoughtfully put his siblings, daughters, grandchildren and himself through college. He was selfless, generous, helpful, comedic, kind, loving, and gave freely of his heart and affection. He will be missed deeply by his family, friends, care providers and neighbors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leticia, his daughters, Liz and Lory (Shawn), grandchildren, Natalie (Braden), Jackson, Grady and Lizzie, brother, Alexander (Victoria), sisters, Florita (Rogelino), Edna and sister-in-law, Mila, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
