Alice Marie Wolfe
March 11th, 1931 - October 3rd, 2024
Alice Marie Wolfe, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully on October 3, 2024, in Loveland, Colorado, at the age of 93. Born on March 11, 1931, in North Dakota as the oldest of 12 to Emil and Laura Nilson. Alice's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty.
Alice pursued her education at a Lutheran seminary, where she discovered her passion for ministry. Armed with her Associate's degree, she dedicated her life to helping others through her ministry work, a calling she fulfilled with deep love and consideration.
In 1990, Alice began a fulfilling career at a church in Lakeland, Florida, where she provided support and comfort to many for seven memorable years. A return to Loveland marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life when she met and married her devoted husband, John Wolfe, in 1998.
Her interests were many, but she notably loved playing cards and Scrabble. She was quite the gardener and actively volunteered at the King of Glory Lutheran Church, where she also found a community that cherished her as much as she cherished it.
Alice is survived by her loving husband John Wolfe of Loveland, CO, her son Mark Pearson of Duluth, MN, daughter Vickey Ohm of Fort Collins, CO, sisters Rosemary Nilson of Loveland, CO, and Floss Nilson of MN, a brother Maurice Nilson of KS, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Lynn Pearson, daughter Kristine Wilson, brothers Arvid, Paul, Roger, Stanley, Maynard, Harold, David and sister Elaine.
A Funeral service honoring Alice's life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at King of Glory Lutheran Church, with a viewing one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow to celebrate the legacy she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes condolences and memories shared at the reception, reflecting the warmth and impact Alice has had on generations. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, remembered for her unwavering love and compassion. Memorials can be made to the Lutheran World Hunger Fund.
Alice's life was one of service, faith, and enduring love—a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of many.
