Susan Kay Maiefski
August 22nd, 1949 - October 4th, 2024
On Monday, August 22, 1949 an angel was born and walked the Earth. She flew back to the Heavens on October 4, 2024. She was 75 years of age.
Susan Kay Maiefski came into the lives of her loving parents, Al & Rose Maiefski, both deceased. She is survived by her sister Marge Dzingle (Ervan), her brother Tim Maiefski, her sister Tammy Smedra (Mark) and sister Shelly Maiefski-Jurey (Opie); Niece Amy Niemoth (Jason), Niece Tanya Dzingle Kuszak (Brian) and Nephew Todd Dzingle (Janessa), as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving spouse, best friend and soulmate, Cindy Cottrell and was so loved by everyone in that extended family. She and Cindy became a couple on June 1, 2001 and were legally married on November 29, 2014. During their time together, they formed a loving relationship and enjoyed so much time together. Especially after 2015, when both were retired. They enjoyed several beautiful cruises to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, the Western Caribbean and the New England Coast. Besides their family and friends, their love for their dogs Gracie Mae and Captain Jack was unconditional and endless.
Sue never met a stranger and every life she touched was richer for having met her. She only knew how to give, never to take. She was always there for you, even when you didn't know it.
When someone had a great loss or life change Sue always sent them the book -Hope for the Flowers. This book Sue and I just love the beautiful butterfly she will always be
“Tell me sir, what is a butterfly?” “What you are meant to become. It flies with beautiful wings and joins the earth to heaven. It drinks only nectar from the flowers and carries the seeds of love from one flower to another.” -Hope For The Flowers
