Keith Vernon Garland

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Keith Vernon Garland, who left this world on Tuesday, October 1st. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Glenn, Katey, and Peggy, who cherish the memories they created together.

Born in Akron, Ohio, on April 18, 1957, Keith’s journey took him from Ohio to Michigan, then Missouri, and finally to Colorado, where he spent the last 48 years of his life. A dedicated worker, he held positions at King Soopers, Woodward Governor, and most recently at Total Care Facility - UC Health, where he made lasting connections.

Keith had a profound love for the arts. With an ear for beautiful melodies and a passion for clever lyrics, he expressed himself through poetry, filling journals with his creative thoughts. In his late teens, he spent several summers performing with a summer stock play company, where he thrived among fellow artists and forged friendships that enriched his life.

A quiet observer of the world, Keith found solace in his close circle of friends. He was a loyal supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Denver Broncos, always ready to cheer them on with enthusiasm. His sharp sense of humor was a gift he shared with those he held dear, bringing joy to moments spent together.

Keith was a gentle soul whose presence brought comfort to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Jane Garland, and his brother, Kurt Garland. He is survived by his loving siblings, Glenn Garland, Katey Arnett, and Peggy Garland, who will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.

Keith’s memory will live on in the stories shared and the love he inspired in all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear brother.
