The Last Act: “Gary Birney”.
Gary Birney was born in Dodge City, KS to Kenneth & Lorane Birney August 3, 1948. He lived in Elizabethtown, KY through third grade. He moved with his parents to a house near Brownsville, KY for fourth grade and then to Loiusville, KY for fifth grade. His parents moved to Colby, KS just before he started sixth grade. In Junior high he became friends with Milford and Mark Ogier who later became his brother-in-laws. In high school as a Sophomore he was also friends with Marla Ogier who was a Senior and later his wife. He played basketball with friends and was on the Colby High School team. Gary & Marla got married November 15, 1969 in Liberal, KS. Two months later we moved to Denver, CO. He was a wonderful and loving Dad to his three children, and their spouses Monica & Scott Kerr, Heather & Micheal Stark and Aaron & Melissa Birney. He was a fun and supportive Granddad who loved his 7 Grandchildren and their spouses-parters Grant & Michaela Kerr, Colby & Molly Kerr, Amanda Kerr & Dagan Worley; Alexis Stark & Jacob Thompson, Mason & Kelsey Stark; Aaron Birney- Krick and Zane Birney. He also is survived by his Great-Grandson who he just recently met and adored, Jack Kerr. He is also survived by Ruby & Norman Weed who are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Mark's wife, Yolly Ogier is also a sister-in-law. He has numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. He was loved and will be missed forever! We love you, you wasally wabbit!! 💓
