Margaret Lopez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Lopez on this day, September 14, 2024. This came after a battle with a long-term illness.  

Margaret was born December 7, 1936.  She was the youngest daughter of Maximiliano and Victoriana Chavez, who presided her in passing.  She had several brothers and sisters who also presided her in passing.  

She is survived by her children, Oliver, Victoria, Christopher and Travis.  She has 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was married to Filo Lopez for almost 32 years who passed away in 2012.  

Most of her married life she was a homemaker.  She loved to sing in both Spanish and English, dance and have a good time in her younger days.  She loved talking on the phone with her sisters.  

She is survived by her sister Lore and brother Dennis, as well as many nieces and nephews.  

She will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with her husband Filo Lopez who was retired Air Force after 27 years. TBA. Her services will be held on October 18 at Nativity of the Blessed Virginia Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 with a Rosary 8:00AM and a Mass at 9:00AM.
