James Franklin "Jim" Oswald, Jr., 79, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

 

A native of West Palm Beach, FL, Jim was the son of James F. Oswald, Sr. and Dorothy Kimbro Oswald, both deceased. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. James was a member of the First Seventh-day Adventist Church of West Palm Beach Florida. He was an electrician and union member with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

 

Survivors include his sisters, Margaret Cottingham, Jonnie Butler, and Ann Paden; nieces, Suzanne Stomean and husband, Lonnie, and Jennifer Collins and husband, Eddie; great niece, Jordan Stomean; great nephew, Clifton Cottingham; beloved puppy, Dottie Sue; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family members.

 

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his nephew, Wacon Cottingham; great niece, Amanda Marion; and his beloved dog, Hillary.

 

Funeral services celebrating Jim's life will be held privately at a later date.
